Pro-Intelligent Design / Pro-Theism Design videos | | Cosmology, Physics, Cosmic Design This video discusses "The Privileged Planet" hypothesis as put forth in the book The Privileged Planet. The video features interviews with many prominent physicists to discuss the evidence for cosmic design, and also evidence supporting the notion that the universe was not just designed for life, but it was designed for discovery. It includes excellent computer graphics explaining the evidence for cosmic fine-tuning. Qty available: 2 |
 | Intelligent design theory, Biochemistry Unlocking the Mystery of Life is the story of contemporary scientists who are advancing a powerful, but controversial, idea-the theory of "intelligent design." It is a theory based upon compelling biochemical evidence. The story begins with a landmark meeting of design theorists assembled by Professor Phillip Johnson in Pajaro Dunes California in 1993. Unlocking the Mystery of Life then follows the development of the intelligent design movement through insightful interviews with Paul Nelson, Stephen Meyer, Dean Kenyon, Michael Behe, William Dembski, Jonathan Wells, Jed Macosko and Scott Minnich. We have this video available in both VHS and DVD formats. Qty available: 3

 | Evolutionary biology, the "Icons of Evolution," Jonathan Wells, Roger DeHart story, teaching design This video is one of two excellent intelligent design videos which are a cut above any intelligent design video ever produced. With stunning graphics and a news-flash documentary style, viewers learn about a high school teacher in the state of Washington who was censored from teaching criticisms of evolution in his biology classroom. The video details these various criticisms through the work of Jonathan Wells' book Icons of Evolution. We have this video available in both VHS and DVD formats. Qty available: 3 |
 | Philosophy, Science This is the 2 hour video of the Johnson v. Provine debate held at Stanford University. These two eminent professors come to grips with such questions as: Do we owe our existence to a creator? Can the blind watchmaker of natural selection take the place of God? Qty available: 2

 | An Interview with Michael Denton Biology, Evolution Michael Denton woke the world up to the many shortcomings of Darwinism in his 1985 book Evolution: A Theory in Crisis. His credentials as a medical doctor and research scientist attracted the attention of the scientific establishment. In this exclusive interview, Dr. Denton talks about the major objections to his book and how he has responded. He offers his unique insight into the many problems with modern Darwinian theory and explains why he feels students should be exposed to the problems. Qty available: 1

 | An Interview with Dean H. Kenyon Biochemistry Professor Dean Kenyon is an authority on chemical evolutionary theory and the scientific study of the origin of life. In 1969 he co-authored a seminal theoretical work in the field entitled "Biological Predestination." He teaches courses in evolution, cell biology, biophysics, and human genetics at San Francisco State University. In this thought provoking interview, Professor Kenyon discusses the numerous problems in neo-Darwinian theory and the scientific evidence which caused him to conclude that the major groups of life were not the result of purely undirected Darwinian processes. | An Interview with Phillip E. Johnson Evolution, Philosophy of Science Professor Johnson critiqued evolution and naturalism with his two books, Darwin on Trial and Reason in the Balance. In this interview, Johnson offers his unique insight into the philosophical basis of modern Darwinian theory and the many scientific problems which confront it. With his breadth of knowledge and keen intellect, he brings a fresh perspective to the timeless issue of origins. Qty available: 1

 | an Interview with Dr. Michael BeheIrreducible Complexity, Intelligent Design This 1/2 hour video contains an interview with Dr. Michael Behe, professor of biology at Lehigh University by Tom Woodward. Behe goes through some of the cases in the cell which he argues are unevolvable, or as he calls it "irreducibly complex". This video contains some good computer graphics and is similar in style and content to Behe's book "Darwin's Black Box" Qty available: 1 |
 | A lecture by Dr. Michael BeheScience, particularly Biochemistry This is the 2 hour video contains a lecture at Princeton University with Michael Behe, professor of biology at Lehigh University. Behe goes through some of the biochemical cases in the cell which he argues are unevolvable, or as he calls it "irreducibly complex". This video contains some good computer graphics and is similar in style and content to Behe's book "Darwin's Black Box" Qty available: 1 |
 | An Interview with Dr. Charles Thaxton Origins of Life, Biochemistry In this interview, Dr. Charles Thaxton challenges the assumption that time, chance, and natural processes are sufficient to explain the origin of life. He responds to over 50 questions, including: Why do you consider the origin of life to be a mystery? What are the major problems with origin of life simulation experiments? Are the initial conditions in the simulation experiment plausible? Are DNA sequences analogous to a written language? Could you summarize the reasons why you believe intelligence was involved in the origin of life?

 | Interviews with Dr. James Valentine Paleontology, Biology Widely recognized as one of the world's leading authorities on invertebrate paleontology and evolutionary paleobiology, Professor James Valentine's research tackles what many consider the most difficult and enigmatic problem facing neo-Darwinian theory: explaining the origin of phyla. Professor Valentine addresses a wide range of personal and technical questions, including: What are some of the major problems related to the origin of phyla? Is Darwinian gradualism consistent with the fossil record and the origin of phyla? Why is the Cell-Type Hypothesis a better explanation for the origin of phyla than competing ideas?

 | Evolution, Biology, Origins of Life, Intelligent Design, Paleontology, Philosophy, Theology This 7 hour video contains all the major talks given at the IDEA Conference 2002 at the University of San Francisco. The Conference was sponsored by the IDEA Center and the video has talks from speakers such as Jay Wesley Richards, Paul Nelson, Edward Peltzer, Paul Chien, and Michael Behe.

 | An Interview with Dr. Michael BeheCosmology, Biology Michael Behe explains how evidence from the Big Bang, the chemical origins of life, natural selection, and biological systems all point to intelligent design. Behe also describes his own personal journey of belief about evolution from when he fully accepted Neo-Darwinism to his current state as a skeptic of Neo-Darwinism. He also addresses questions about the limits of science, and the problems with naturalistic assumptions in science, and the promising field of intelligent design. Qty available: 1 |
 | PBS American Experience History, Law This documentary about the Scopes Trial of 1925 provides interviews from leading historians, biographers, and scientists as well as detailed observations from Dayton, Tennessee residents to strip away the myths that obscure the meaning of the Scopes Trial. ID proponents Phillip Johnson is apparently featured in the video.

Pro-Evolution / Anti-Intelligent Design videos | | with Spencer Tracy, Fredric March, and Gene Kelly Movie Dramatizing the Scopes Trial This 1960 movie dramatizes the famous Scopes "Monkey Trial" of 1925. It is based off the 1954 play about a Tennessee high school teacher who violates the law by teaching evolution. The play portrays religious persons as close minded bigots who oppose learning, laughter, and worst of all, love. Many have claimed that its harsh characterization of religious persons and skeptics created it created a false stereotype about opponents of evolution dubbed the, "Inherit the Wind Stereotype." Nonetheless, this film is an American classic worth viewing. We have this film in both VHS and DVD formats.
