Quotes Collection

Quote Verification Project:

We want to be able to confidently provide quotes that have been verified for accuracy in the text of the quote, its citation, and the context. For this reason, beginning in April, 2004, the IDEA Center quote collections began a process of revision and updating as we attempt to verify the collection for accuracy and context. We called this project the "Quote Verification Project."

The IDEA Center has very limited resources but we have expended much time and energy in this process. We thus appreciate your patience.

However, as of the beginning of 2008, we are pleased to announce that all of the IDEA Center's quote collections have been transferred to a collaborative database where they are undergoing a rigorous process of verification. This database will go public by the end of 2008.
