The IDEA Course in Orange County
The IDEA Course is a 15-week course on intelligent design theory and the creation - evolution issue, taught by IDEA Center staff. Our first IDEA Course was an 8-week series taught in 2002, and beginning in January 2004, we will teach the fourth IDEA Course. This course is named the "IDEA Course in Orange County" because it is being taught at Coastland Christian Bible College and University (CCBCU) in Orange County, and is the first time the IDEA Center has ventured to teach a class outside of San Diego County. The comical graphic above is in no way meant to disrespect Sir Charles Darwin or the theory of evolution, but is merely a parody of the movie, Orange County, and is just for fun. The course is open to anyone and will be taught in conjunction with Coastland Christian Bible College and University and Faith Seminary. It begins Monday January 26th, 2004 and will run for 15 weeks through May 3rd, 2004. Coastland Christian Bible College and University students and Faith Seminary students may take the course for credit toward their degrees as their respective institutions. Course topics include scientific, philosophical, social, ethical, and legal issues surrounding the debate over intelligent design and evolution. This course will include also special lectures by guest speakers Gordon Carle (M.A., Adjunct Faculty, Faith Seminary) and Myron Steeves (President, Newport Institute). Previous IDEA Courses: |
