Mount Rushmore and The Design Inference

Mount Rushmore and The Design Inference

This graphic depicts the mountainside-sculpture of four U.S. Presidents (Washington, Jefferson, Roosevelt, and Lincoln) on Mount Rushmore in South Dakota. Mount Rushmore provides a good simple example of how we infer design in nature when we see complexity that matches a specified pattern. In the picture, the presidents are thinking about the design of a flagellum. The Mt. Rushmore graphic was taken from http://www.bdf2001.com/images/Presidents-Mt-Rushmore.jpg and the flagellum graphic was taken from http://www.arn.org/docs/mm/n.htm. The graphic is listed on our Intelligent Design News Updates page.
