This grahpic uses DNA modified from http://www.library.mcgill.ca/bwood/Journals.htm, a bacteria image modified from http://www.extension.iastate.edu/foodsafety/Lesson/L1/graphics/bacteria.gif, and a tree modified from whose original whereabouts we were not able to ascertain. The tree depicts a common finding in systematics where the distribution of character traits does not allow a neat hierarchically nested tree to be created.
