Michael Behe

Michael beheMichael J. Behe has a Ph. D. in biochemistry from the University of Pennsylvania and worked as a post doc for 4 years at the National Institutes of Health. Today he is a professor of biochemistry in the Department of Biological Sciences, at Lehigh University. He is best known for his controversial book, Darwin's Black Box which laid the groundwork for intelligent design theory by explaining biochemical arguments for the intelligent design of various aspects of the biological realm. He has also published articles in journals such as the Journal of Molecular Biology, Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, and DNA Sequence (the journal of sequencing and mapping).

A senioar fellow with Discovery Institute's Center for Science and Culture, Michael Behe has conducted foundatonal work for intelligent design theory and he is one of the leading members of the group today called the "Intelligent Design Movement". We are very happy to have Dr. Behe, an expert in biochemical design, as a member of the IDEA Center Advisory Board.

Dr. Behe is a research scientist and is frequently busy with speaking engagements, teaching, and research. If you would like to contact him, please contact us at "" and we will try to put you in touch with him if possible. Thanks for your understanding.
