IDEA Club formed at Midwestern State University, Wichita Falls, Texas - April 13, 2004

Midwestern State University, Wichita Falls, TexasAs of April 12, 2004, an IDEA Club was founded at Midwestern State University in Wichita Fall, Texas. Founded by undergraduate Vincent ("Vinny") McMullen, this IDEA Club marks the 15th founded to date, and the second IDEA Club at a public university in Texas.

Vinny, who is in his "second career" as a college student after serving in the U. S. Air Force in Desert Storm, is majoring in biology with a minor in criminology. He finds many connections between the two fields as criminology is essentially the study of forensics and how experts piece together clues from the present to determine what happened in the past. Vinny sees many applications from criminology to the science of historical biology, particularly in regards to intelligent design theory. Biologists who study life's history also look at clues from the present day to figure out how life got here. Vinny thinks that from looking at these clues, life was designed.

The IDEA Center is excited to see this club get started at MSU, and look forward to hopefully good things to come from Vinny and the IDEA Club at Midwestern State University!
