Debate: Is Evolution Compelling? on Friday 3/11/16, 7-9 PM in Cameron Park, CA - February 6, 2016

If you live in Northern California, we hope you can join us for a FREE academic debate on whether evolution is compelling or not. Eminent Dr. Michael Ruse and scholar Dr. Cornelius Hunter will debate this question in front of a live audience. While this event is FREE, seating is limited and first come first served.

Dr. Michael Ruse is a graduate of the University of Bristol where he earned a Ph.D. in Philosophy. He is the Lucyle T. Werkmeister Professor and Director of the History and Philosophy of Science Program at Florida State University. Dr. Ruse is an internationally recognized scholar in the history and philosophy of science. In addition to his research work he has authored and edited over fifty books. Dr. Ruse specializes in the history and philosophy of biology and is well known for his work on the relationship between science and religion, and the creation-evolution controversy.

Dr. Cornelius Hunter is a graduate of the University of Illinois where he earned a Ph.D. in Biophysics and Computational Biology. He is Adjunct Professor at BIOLA University and author of the award-winning Darwin's God: Evolution and the Problem of Evil. Dr. Hunter's other books include Sciences Blind Spot (Baker/Brazos Press). Dr. Hunter's interest in the theory of evolution involves the scientific, historical and theological aspects of the theory.
